Delete Your Account
Delete from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the ConnectLove app:
- Open the ConnectLove app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
Request deletion by email
If you are unable to access the app, email our privacy team to request deletion:
Please include the email address registered to your account so we can verify your identity before acting on the request. We will acknowledge your request promptly and complete it within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following within 30 days:
- Your profile (name, bio, photos, preferences)
- Your matches and conversations
- Your questionnaire responses
- Your account credentials and login data
What we may retain and why
Some information may be retained after deletion where we are required to do so by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Billing and transaction records — subscription payment history is held by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own retention policies. We retain limited transaction identifiers (not payment card details) for up to 7 years to meet UK accounting and tax obligations.
- Safety and legal records — where an account was suspended or involved in a safety investigation, we may retain necessary records for up to 3 years (or longer if required by a legal hold or law enforcement request) to prevent fraud and comply with our legal obligations.

Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To avoid future charges, please cancel your subscription in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings before or after deleting your account. Subscription management is handled by Google and Apple, not by ConnectLove.
